Twitter is increasing becoming
an important tool in order to build relationships with key publics through a
variety of different community members. Both journalists and public relations
practitioners find Twitter a useful space for sharing relevant information;
it’s a wonderful outlet for networking; business have used Twitter for
promotions and building relationships with key publics; and activists have used
Twitter to spread the word about philanthropy.
A key goal of this assignment is to better understand the ins and outs
of Twitter from a public relations angle. Because PR practitioners are often
called to host or post content to the client’s or company’s Twitter page, I
hope you find the assignment to be a springboard of ideas of how you would
effectively run a business Twitter page.
